What do patients know about anything?
Looking back I can clearly see it. Years of insisting something is WRONG I was in constant pain and nauseous. Never offered any referrals, x-rays when asked only picked up some usual wear and tear. Disc's shrinking, bone spurs.. more meds that made me sick no explanation. Finally ask and receive a referral. Next Dr. couldn't help. Too advanced. Sends me to surgeon and IPS. Turns out I had a chemical allergy to the meds. My stenosis was severe and congenital. All of the symptoms were there. My spinal cord being compressed. Numbness, tingling, balance problems. Nurse Jenkins had decided that I was just an alcoholic. And she informed my other Dr's as such. Turns out that WAS a minor stroke too BTW. I left that spring for another Dr. An actual medical provider. Unfortunately in the 1st roughly 2 years after I left I've had 2 cervical surgeries but neither were before my cord was damaged. FIRST DO NO HARM.
