melanie cotter is abusive
Telehealth
i was evaluted by melanie when i was 14 i am now 33, i am a registered nurse and specialize in psychiatry. melanie mislabled me as a 'bad kid' and misdiagnosed me which contributed to my abuse. melanie wrote that my parents allegedly abused me and allegedly drank alcohol heavily. my mother died in 2019 from cirrhosis and had korskoffs. no one helped me or believed me about the abuse and i've suffered because of it and always believed i was bad. my parents used to taunt me saying no one would believe me cause i saw a shrink. melanie contributed to the system and will fail you and misdiagnose you. she should not even be seeing children ever. she cant even document or chart in a non judgemental way. she is not up to times with actual compassionate care and should never write things in peoples chart legally. she should be in jail. do not see her ever. dont let her near your children.

Terrible Experience
If I could leave zero stars, I would. I had to reschedule because the office sent me a link for a video appointment. As it turns out, the appointment was supposed to be in person. I called that day to let them know and reschedule. The day they rescheduled me for, I did not have child care. Dr. Cotter was so rude to my son, and even said “Did you not have child care,” and told him to be quiet because we had a lot to get through, even though she was 25 minutes late, and we were there 10 minutes early and saw her walking around before my appointment time. She continued telling him he would have to clean up if he played with her toys. I brought a little bag with toys for him and he was sitting right beside me, causing no disturbance. I have never been treated so rudely, especially at a practice that sees children. Don’t have toys if you don’t want kids to play with them. If I had not needed the appointment for another referral, I would have asked for my copay back and left.
