After suffering a serious accident which resulted in a severe laceration and contusions to my forehead, my situation was further complicated by the fact that I am on a prescribed blood thinner. Nurse Practitioner Maurice Coughlan assessed my injury and wisely ordered a CAT scan to rule out internal problems. He then cleaned out the wound and closed it with 8 sutures. His skills were laudable and apparent as was his calming bedside manner which minimized my anxiety and discomfort.
