The Best!
I met Dr. B about 2 years ago. When I walked into his office, I can’t explain the overwhelming feeling I got of calmness, safeness and happiness. Dr. B is a great listener, is kind and pretty funny. I can’t thank him enough for how far I have come… THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Reliable and welcoming
Dr. Bunnell has been my doctor for just about a year now and he has been more than helpful and understanding. He goes above and beyond for his patients and is dedicated to providing the best care he possibly can, I would recommend him to anyone looking for a psychiatrist who listens, understands, and most importantly cares about his patients. I am grateful to have found a provider like him!

Beware of billing practices
Shady billing practices. Every time I go I pay about $90. Suddenly today Im told I have a past due balance of almost $300 because I didnt pay for my last visit. When I pulled up my credit card statement showing I paid the story was changed to I owed for my visit in October. Essentially no one could give me an explanation as to why my costs have changed when my insurance hasnt but I was expected to at least pay almost $200 if I wanted to see the doctor. I was not prepared for that and not once when I was there in January or when I was scheduling this appointment was I informed I needed to pay this amount. I didnt have that to pay so I had to leave without seeing the doctor and now will not be able to refill my meds which I really need because I am going through a really rough time in my life. I would find another provider unless you can afford to make payments you probably dont owe. I confirmed with my insurance that nothing coverage wise had changed and not deductible related.

Dr Bunnell has been incredibly unprofessional and even detrimental to my overall mental health. Ignored scheduled calls, was rude and inappropriate. Strongly discourage anyone in need from relying on Dr. Bunnell

My visit with Maurice Bunnell was quite the experience. Never have I been SHAMED (embarrassed) by a healthcare provider and asked to leave their office. Since the beginning of the COVID 19 Pandemic when my anxiety initially spiked, I have taken to wearing a mask, carrying disinfectant wipes and when possible opening doors, pumping gas or using elevators with a gloved hand.  During our initial visit/consultation on January 2nd, I wore my mask and had my disinfectant wipes. We met, and he prescribed me a medication that had some very positive results; however, very apparent side effects including insomnia, heightened anxiety (jitters and knots in stomach), and loss of appetite. Prior to the follow up appt I left a voicemail explaining what I was experiencing, stressing the insomnia part. Maurice did not respond to my voicemail. I held out a few days longer until our next in person appointment. Given it's mid January, in the midst of cold, covid and flu season, I was feeling more anxious than usual. I wore my mask and my glove into the MEDICAL building. Upon arrival Maurice commented on my glove and I explained it was for the doors and elevator. Once we get into his office I take out a disinfectant wipe to wipe off the chair (something I did during our 1st meeting without any comment from him). He tells me he finds all my precautions offensive, and if I'm uncomfortable I should leave and he won't be treating me.  I said I couldn't tell if he was serious or not since he was very jovial on the first visit. He looks at me and says he's completely serious, he will not be treating me and I need to leave. Speechless, I left without incident. In hindsight, any "behavioral specialist" reacting that judgmentally to obsessive or anxious behavior should NOT be taking patients. There were multiple ways the situation could have been handled, none of which involved being rude. Combining the in person outburst, with the knowledge of a patient calling Maurice with concerns about a prescription HE prescribed and said call/voicemail was ignored, makes me very skeptical about WeVolve as a practice.  Then there's the receptionist, his brother, who also seems to misplace information provided to him and not check voicemails in a timely manner. All in all, I'd recommend another service provider.
