Matt was instrumental in improving and speeding up my recovery time from a hip replacement surgery. I further credit Matt with doing everything in his power to help me put off that surgery with hands-on therapies and custom-created exercises until I was ready to make that decision to get the surgery. Matt is one of those exceptional individuals who can merge extensive knowledge and experience as a physical therapist with intuitive healing skills. Totally trustworthy and highly recommended!

Matt is a highly skilled and intuitive practitioner who brings those elements together in his practice with knowledge and compassion and integrity. I saw him for a shoulder injury and he was able to positively address aspects of my structure that were contributing to my problem that I can use my whole life. He correctly surmised that I had a bone spur and referred me to the best shoulder surgeon the area, who confirmed that this was the case. I can't recommend him highly enough! A+++

Matt has helped me with chronic lower back pain and was able to get me back to my normal activities. He has a deep knowledge of body mechanics and was very skilled at helping me establish better posture and gain awareness of my body and correct bad habits. Most recently he helped me recover from a bad shoulder dislocation and humerus fracture. I am now back to my normal activities, less than 4 months after my injuries.

I observed Matt to be attentive to detail, a keen observer, and a good listener who analyzed the total data available to inform his thinking and procedures. Matt was flexible within the prescribed program and, with the agreement of the doctors, amended strategies used in the clinic as well as the home exercise program to maximize repair. He has a gentle, yet professional, demeanor. His commitment to patient care was obvious: he was always supportive, concise, and informative.

When I first met Matt I was quite debilitated with MS, with his superior knowledge of how our bodies function, he was able to assess my condition and come up with a program of exercises and stretches that allow me maximum function considering my condition. I doubt that I would be walking today without his help.

Matt Whitaker is by far the best physical therapist I have worked with & I been to several. He excells in all categories: listening, empathizing, troubleshooting, pain management & doing all possible to get patients back to their sport, job or simply life without pain. Matt is empathetic & energetic; he gives his full attention to each patient, assuring that their recovery is important to him. He continually educates so that when released his clients have tools to stay active! He will be missed

I saw Matt for nagging, chronic back problems - lower and between the shoulders. Matt has skills far beyond anyone I have worked with before. Although my problems didn't disappear they are significantly improved & manageable - huge at 62. I know how to keep the problem areas stronger and more flexible; I know how to relieve the pain when there is some pain. I am now able to garden without pain. Matt is an excellent PT. He is an educator and a talented and insightful body-worker. I'm grateful.

Matthew is by far the most skilled, knowledgeable, and effective PT I have ever worked with. He is also honest, professional, and thorough; taking the time that is needed to properly assess, educate, and treat. He ever cuts corners or rushes. I went to Matt for two different injuries, and am healed and completely pain free. He is a treasure!

I have had the pleasure to see Matt's work from both a personal and professional level. Matt is very knowledgeable, down to earth and caring. He completely understands the relationship that each working part of the body has to each other and looks to treat the body as a whole, not just the affected area. Not only do you as a patient see maximum improvement, but you also have less chance of a reoccurrence of the issue because of what he has taught you.

Matt is a kind, compassionate physical therapist who goes above and beyond. He literally changed our lives. He was willing to allow me to come with my husband to his appointments and spent extra time teaching me techniques to help in the healing process after my husband's hip replacement. This was invaluable to us in getting him back to work in a timely manner as we are self-employed. He is truly gifted. My hope is that if you need a physical therapist, this is who you would go too.

Matt is my go-to PT & resource for hands-on therapy, evaluation, referral to experts, & post surgical rehab. His self-care advice & education is personal, focused & appropriate. He is that special PT who truly cares about my quality of life & success in achieving goals. He makes sure I fully understand my options & how to keep high function through my physical challenges. Matt is easy to communicate with, is always on time. Most Valuable Player in my book, for health care.

He takes a careful history, really listening, then a thorough hands-on assessment. I've worked with a lot of PTs over the years and he is by far the best at clearly identifying primary and secondary issues and explaining them. He's not using a cookbook but really individualizing the treatment and self-care teaching he offers, and takes time to double-check you understand what you're supposed to do at home.

I would highly recommend Matthew Whitaker to anyone needing physical therapy. He listens, asks questions, provides exercises that are easy to understand and relieve pain. I thought I had a shoulder problem, but thanks to Matt, we discovered it was actually a neck injury causing my pain. After just two visits, I had pain relief. He is professional, courteous and genuinely cares for his patients.

I have worked with many physical therapists on complicated shoulder and neck issues over the years. I recently had the good fortune to work with Matt Whitaker, PT over a period of a few months. Matt stood out as an outstanding Physical Therapist for many reasons. He is an exceptional listener, customizes and revises PT programs as needed as the client progresses, and is an outstanding educator who empowers his clients with knowledge and information well beyond a set of exercises.
