The Best in Indy
Prior reviews seem very unusual from my experience. Dr. Grant is compassionate, empathic and a very good listener. Of all the therapists I've seen in my lifetime, Dr. Grant is one of the best.

Dr. Grant lacks the basic therapeutic skills of empathic responding and attentive listening. He doesn’t seem to empathize well and will get stuck on whatever idea he thinks is accurate regardless on if you tell him you see things differently. He seemed more focused on being right than in helping people. When confronted on discomforts in the therapy relationship he lays blame on the patient and is not able to take responsibility for his own actions. He is the antithesis of a good therapist. If you are looking for a therapist to help you heal and for something more than being told to “try harder” then do not book an appointment with this guy.

Consistently mixed up names and generally seemed like he wasn't really listening in our sessions. Seems to subscribe to the idea that most psychological pain stems from physical issues. If you want to talk to someone that actually cares, look elsewhere.

Our phone consultation consisted of Dr. Grant inquiring in-depth about why I wish to pursue therapy---which took 30 minutes---only to eventually tell me that it doesn't seem that my insurance will be accepted. I was then told that I have the option of paying a steep fine out-of-pocket. I genuinely felt humiliated that I was prompted to share such in-depth experiences about my problems, only to be told that I must pay $150/session for treatment. It came across as very invasive. Disrecommend.
