As a woman of color, I am often treated poorly in the healthcare system wether it is physical care or mental health care. My concerns are almost always overlooked and my experiences and issues easily dismissed. This was not the case with Ms. Trukositz, LMHC who was the first counselor in a very long time that I feel truly safe with. She does not care what you look like or what walk of life you come from, she cares about your gaining understanding and providing some tools to assist you in working through your trauma. I am confident in her professional ability to assist me in finding a pathway forward, and not just to live again, but to enjoy living. I feel truly blessed to have finally found a place to go to get help and healing and some much needed tools. It can be incredibly hard to sit with a perfect stranger and be open to your life and experiences--just give her a chance you will be better for it. Ms. Trukositz is a true professional and you won't feel criticized or judged by her.
