Mary Simonson, LPC

I worked with Ms. Simonson via her affiliation with Welwynn Outpatient Center. After a false positive test in 11/18, she immediately ordered a full panel drug screen without even discussing the issue with me first. I was not under treatment for the suspected substance. I did not even find out about this until I was billed for the drug panel (which, while within the rights of the center, was not necessarily right, in my opinion). I had to request full records via HIPAA in April, 2019 to determine what had happened. Ms. Simonson completely ruined the patient-counselor trust that is so critical when a simple conversation and an on-the-spot retest would have put the issue at rest. I don't know if this "guilty before proven innocent" is her credo or that of the treatment center. Regardless, I would never recommend her to anyone.
