Dr. Mary Lack, OD

Some staff seem unaware of elderly difficulties, which failing eyesight is typical, ALSO hearing, standing long periods, etc. Entering WE couldn't hear receptionist, I don't have hearing issues. Doctor was good but my mother was at end of endurance after OVER 30 minute wait to enter and almost an hour with doctor and flashing lights and light sensitivity. Exit staff were extremely UNHELPFUL!! I helped choose glasses as my mother sat, spent and now with a headache. NO ONE ELSE HELPED, NOT MY JOB!!! While I helped, my mother was told she had no Healthcare coverage and would need to pay all. No advice on price of available glasses, options, NOTHING. We purchased the first glasses I picked as she just wanted to be done. At check-out, to pay, once again she couldn't hear. At home I called healthcare provider, up to 200$ is covered. My mother WAS a repeat client as she likes Dr Lack.

If you value your eyesight, never go to Dr. Lack as she will just ignore your concerns and wait until something major happens. She proved that whatever she is doing is not eye care but trying to find a way to not listen to a patient and make sure many more can be seen in one day. More money for her. Right up to the point of the retina detaching and the blindness in one eye is not really her problem. It is ours now and we will go forward. When doctors do not listen please move on to a better one as this one is not it. Do not trust your sight to her.
