He made good on the overcharges

This office is run by Lois and Marty Klapper, LCSW, scam artists. First, Lois stated that the copay per visit was TWICE the amount stated by my insurance and then they could ONLY BE CASH. When I pointed out that the discrepancy, Lois said "Hun, this is how we run things here. I am very busy. Do you want an appointment or not?" Sure, it's for my kid. I'll call the insurance and sort it out. When the insurance paid the claim, they expected me to pay HALF of what Lois and Klapper had been collecting. Called and left a message (because nobody EVER answers) stating that it was probably an oversight and that I would expect a refund very shortly. Well, weeks have gone by, and first the accountant was away, then could I confirm the spelling of my name, then could you tell me the exact dates... You get the idea... stalling! Called my insurance to report fraud. Called BBB to report fraud. Will report ethics violations and financial abuse of vulnerable patients. They should lose their license!

Extremely unprofessional! He booked an appointment without my knowledge and when I didn't answer his call he left an extremely offensive voicemail where he told me he hoped this wasn't one of my relationship problems and now having one with my therapist and that that I wasn't going to have a therapist for much longer. I was so offended by the voicemail that I did not call back but then received a missed appointment bill in the mail! And of course when I called to discuss the bill nobody answered. Avoid this counselor at all costs!

In general I was happy with Dr Klapper. Easy to talk to and objective. Explained things clearly and to tbe point but sometimes seemed tired . Perhaps my subject matter was boring. Lois who does the scheduling seemed nice at first but was very rude on the telephone a few times . A big no no when running a business. Not going back because I do not feel comfortable after the conversation.

Very down to earth, asks the right questions during take-in, non-judgmental, uses humor, put me totally at ease

Marty Klapper has been working with and helping my family for almost 3 years. He is the best thing to happen to us. He has taken the time to not only recognize issues we needed to work on, but he also came up with effect strategies to combat the life difficulties we were experiencing. He has always guided us in a positive direction. He offers life choices that meet our family dynamics. He realizes one size therapy does not fit all. He has added only lasting positives to our lives.

The counseling center from start to the ends of working with us scheduling appointments and the fact that there was no wait time before our session began on Marty himself was amazing I have never felt more comfortable with another therapist He is amazing

My son & I have been with Marty for about 12/13 years. He is truly such a blessing to our family. Super caring & helpful to say the least. Not to mention he’s a genius! I continue to refer him to anyone in need of help!

I have been trying unsuccessfully to locate an email for this agency as the woman who makes appointments, Lois, very accommodating, apparently is mislead in asking for a $60 copay on my first and subsequent visits until I can see a psychiatrist. Their contract with my insurance company states that they must call for authorization first, it is covered at 100%; and there should be no copay involved form mental health matters. Too bad as was able to get an appointment,they need to return calls.
