Mark will challenge you, and you will get very frustrated at times, but if you are able to stick with him all the way down to the bottom, you will come back up with a much better sense of how others think; you’ll have an easier time with showing grace toward others, controlling your feelings in the face of apparent disrespect or misunderstanding, and maintaining interpersonal relationships. He won’t always be easy or even pleasant to work with, but the results will be worth it.

Absolute joke of a therapist. Utterly unable to read body language, facial expressions, or shifts in speech tone and content to recognize how his conduct is making the patient feel. Shows terrible empathy toward patient, lightheartedly chiding them for having “stuck points” and “black and white thinking” when they are clearly distraught and pouring out their heart and soul over severe life struggles. Seems to enjoy telling people they’re wrong about how they think, but never seems to offer any evidence to rebut their way of thinking—puts the burden on patient to “correct” the thought themselves, as if the patient is going to find evidence on their own that refutes conclusions that their existing evidence has plainly led them to. Can’t provide concise alternatives for the problem behaviors he claims the patient is engaged in, expecting them to do all the work of finding better ways of thinking, coping, and “controlling their feelings.” Won’t even confirm whether he sees improvements.

Comforting and caring. Understanding, professional and helps identify problems while finding solutions. I would absolutely recommend for individual therapy as well as family therapy
