Mark Mottonen

This provider has very poor verbal and written communication skills. He interrupted me, finished my sentences, and was more interested in giving advice than listening and supporting me. I would never recommend him.

I saw Mark Mottonen as a new patient seeking long term therapy. I have never felt so disrespected by a healthcare professional. He would constantly interrupt me and belittle me. I was diagnosed with Autism at a young age and when referring to my present life, he literally asked me "I'm not sure if you still have autism anymore or not, but have you considered....." Seriously? No, Mark, I took an aspirin and was cured of a lifelong disability. In looking at the aftercare notes in Mychart, 70% of them were wrong. Not small details like height/weight, but family members who have died, where I used to live, where I'm from, and previous medical history. This is what therapists are like these days?

Mark Mottonen does not provide any new skills or even listen much. He told my daughter the reason she was suicidal is because she was bored and should learn to knit.
