Dr. Balter is one of the best clinicians I have ever had! He is consistently kind and friendly, attentive, and listens well. I have been seeing him for years for regular eye exams, and it is always a pleasure to see him. Recently, I have been experiencing some blurriness in one eye and was very concerned, and he squeezed me in immediately and took good care of me. His office is clean and bright, and Dr. Balter makes a point to wash his hands and clean the shared equipment while you're there.

excellent doctor. very caring, very thorough, EXCELLENT PERFECT VISION prescriptions right on the money for YEARS! front desk staff was really bad (pretensions, snotty, annoying, unfriendly hipsters) when I went around 2010-12, but hopefully it might be different now. let's just say the 5 stars are for him. the 1 star given on this site might have been for his awful staff.

Dr. Balter and his staff are terrific. He has a very gentle manner and makes me feel comfortable and confident. I've had glasses most of my life and have always dreaed the eye exam (the one test I can't study for and ace) but he is so calm and professional I almost don't mind it. Would highly recommend, especially to anyone who is nervous or new to the eye exam experience.
