A total horrific experience. During the diagnosis, once I mentioned that I am Venezuelan, her attitude changed completely. She treated me with hostility, made jokes and laughed at me, insulted me, spoke in a loud tone, and verbally mistreated me. When I finally asked her to change her behavior, as I didn’t feel comfortable with her hurtful attitude, especially in the first 7 minutes of the call, she sarcastically laughed and said she was “just joking.” She also said, “I definitely have to be careful with you” and “be careful how I speak to you,” even though I always maintained an extremely professional and respectful tone towards her. It was she who was completely out of line and acting in a totally inappropriate manner for a professional.This call was marked by xenophobia and mistreatment, and her behavior was completely unacceptable. I strongly recommend avoiding and not consider therapy with her. She’s unqualified to provide a respectful and professional environment for anyone.
