Margaret Rickman, PA-C

17 plus years and 4 states of Pain Management, I can say I've seen my fair share of doctors and PA's, some really good and some not so much. I now have a new Pain Managemenet Team and Margaret Rickman, PA-C, is one of the kindest, most gentle medical professional I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and being treated by. Margaret has gone above and beyond to make me comfortable every visit, from turning off the room a/c so I'm not cold, too her gentle nature while doing my TPI's. Ms. Rickman has been more attentive to my pain and the management of my pain than any doctor in my past. Ms. Rickman listens and responds to every concern and does her best to address every issue as quickly as possible. I am so happy that I switched to Virginia Interventional Pain and Spine, They are very lucky to have someone as caring as Margaret Rickman. Even the staff is great! Thank you for making me feel better and working to make my quality of life better.

Very personable and professional. Maggie was an excellent listener and made me feel understood. She then did a great job at explaining my pain and treatment options available. I would highly recommend her to anyone!!

If there was 0 I would choose that. Inconsistent. Lacks bedside manner. Does not follow through with patients. Hung up on me. Unable to access. Long-standing patient who every encounter other than Dr RAju is negative, he has to BEG to get his prescription before he runs out. They make the patient feel like a piece of dead carcous that should be shoved in a hole a buried. I am a nurse who cannot tolerate this incompetence anymore. Dr RAju is absolutely wonderful! Never have these issues unless dealing with Maggie and Tayler. The pharmacy even comments on how ridiculous it is for him to get his medication. Maggie and Tayler will lump you in to the stereotypical “pain seeking patient” although you are not. In my 33 years if nursing service I am appalled at how these two treat him. I am scheduling a 1:1 visit to discuss our issues. I have never negatively reviewed a provider until now and it is time to do so.
