Just stay away, especially if you are involved in family court. She does not provide therapy. She does some kind of weird case management and will engage in pitting one parent against the other. Her approach makes things much, much worse.

I wish we would have looked up her reviews before going to Margie. She was not a good counselor. She didn't seem genuine, didn't listen (or maybe she forgot), and doesn't want to see her blind spots. She started nearly every session late, forgot things we had told her, and our child would say that she would just tell our child what they should do. She didn't really help us and things got worse. She seemed to be skating at her job and got upset if we gave feedback on her method.

Her method either works for you or it doesn't. She's not motivated to sort out severe family dysfunction. She's strongly invested in being right, which comes at the expense of being helpful. She will allow therapy to go on for years with no progress. She is openly critical/blaming of her patients if they don't improve, instead of changing approach or providing referrals to providers or programs who could be a better fit. She can be vindictive and unprofessional.
