Madonna Guzman, PA-C

I saw her at Scripps Carmel Valley clinic. She walked in, walked out after spending 5 minutes or less. She barely bothered to answer my questions or explain the issue and did not even say bye before leaving the room. She just left the room. She said that she will bring some paperwork and gave me the impression that she was just stepping out momentarily and will be back. I was left waiting till the nurse popped in. Very bad and disappointing experience.

The care and results speak for themselves. I have been suffering for a couple years with shoulder pain caused by arthritis, bursitis, impingement, neck and back pain. All contributed to continuous shoulder pain. Dr. Guzman recommended a cortizone injection. I tensed up, because in the past, those shots have been very painful. But, Dr Guzman is the first person to give me an injection and I felt no pain. She and her assistant used a freezing spray to numb the area briefly and it worked perfectly. I hate to get political. But, I will. I would choose a Doctor or physicians assistant, who knows how to do their job over someone, who tries to charm me and makes my life worse. I can tell you flatly. Dr. Guzman is the former. If you do your job, as a patient correctly, you will get the results you want from Dr. Madonna Guzman. ADVICE! Don't go into the with the singer Madonna, doing a music video in your mind. You'll set yourself up for disappointment.

Madonna Guzman PA has very poor bedside manner. She is grumpy, doesn't listen, and was very short patienced. She does not explain the diagnosis, and her progress reports Do not accurately reflect the visit. She appears smart, but her bad personality outweighs that.
