excellent person, even better professional. Could not be more attentive or caring.

I have been working with Lynda Lyon as a patient for a couple of years and I just want to say that I am shocked by the 1 Star review, both of them, that person(s?) seems to be describing a completely different person than Lynda who in my opinion is among the kindest and most understanding people that I have ever known, Lynda's genuine concern for my mental health and her generosity have helped me immensely as I have fought to reclaim my life from severe clinical depression.

Lynda Lyon is an incredible human being and psychiatrist. It saddens me to see 2 negative reviews of her that are the polar opposite of what my fiancee and I have experienced with her (we see her separately and he feels the same way). It is immediately obvious she cares immensely about every patient, is easy to talk to, empathetic, very knowledgeable, is FAR from judgmental, and will go above and beyond to help each person she sees. She is excellent at communicating knowledge and is also helpful in assisting you to be a more active participant in your treatment, allowing her to help you even further. If you want a fantastic, caring, and very helpful psychiatrist this is the person to see.

She didn’t listen to anything I said and came up with her own assumptions QUICKLY. She indirectly said I was lying whenever I told her the medications she prescribed me were making me sick. She kinda laughed and literally told me it was “impossible” to feel so sick within a week of taking them. So if it was “impossible”, then I had the impression she must’ve thought I was lying and it upset me more that she dismissed my emotional distress by saying it was “normal”considering my circumstances. I got a second opinion from another doctor and he told me that it’s very common to experience side effects from that medication shortly after taking them. The second doctor also reassured me that it wasn’t normal to feel these emotional distresses, because they were also manifesting physically. It’s probably easy to get an appointment with her, because patients don’t always return to her. I don’t recommend her at all.

Rather than listening, Lynda assumed what was wrong with me. I felt shamed by her for my OCD related phobia. About a month ago, I contacted her for an urgent matter as I was in a mental health crisis. She told me to “just stop” and that I should just see my original psychiatrist who was 3 hours away.

I saw Lynda Lyons for the first time the other day because I was unhappy with the other psychiatrist I was seeing and I was blown away by her in-depth intake and her kindness and how she wants to work with the patient and figure out the right course of treatment, it's not one sided at all, she wants to include you in the treatment plan and she really listens to you. I am so happy that I found her and am excited to begin my road to treatment with her as my physician
