I came in with a small piece of glass stuck in my foot. I cannot put any weight on it at all. I was told by a family friend who is an ER doc that the ER would be able to numb my foot and cut it out. He came in and looked at the cut for about 10 seconds with no light or anything and said there wasn't much he could do. He then tried to pick it out with a needle and instead of making it better, I'm pretty sure he shoved the glass farther into my foot. He then told me that it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack to try and cut it out. I was sent home with instructions to soak my foot 3 to 4 times a day and that my body would get rid of it on its own. I'm sure my body will get rid of it but I can't wait the weeks it's going to take to get rid of it. He was dismissive and rude and I waited for 3 hours for him to tell me absolutely nothing helpful.

Awful experience. Went into the er yesterday with 8/10 abdominal pain. Was told, with no positive test results, that I had STDs and to go home with antibiotics and NO pain management. Got my STD results back today, negative for everything, just like I told Luke yesterday in the hospital. Had he listened, I may not currently still be in 8/10 pain right now, with no possibility of relief. I now have to go back to the hospital tonight because my pain is much worse and it is clear I had no correct diagnosis or even attempt at a proper diagnosis.
