Lourdes Robles, APNP showed up at my video visit that I scheduled to meet with my doctor. Not knowing my history, and relying on me to provide it, I see that the end notes are not reflective accurately of my medical history and the duration of my symptoms as I described. I am most perturbed by the comment that my doctor is not treating me correctly. That took a lot of nerve in a 5-minute assessment. It was out of line. Ms Robles, trained on a nursing model, does not have the education to make such a statement. Besides that, it was highly inappropriate in the setting. I get sinus infections that are every few to one years in frequency. I am prescribed antibiotics and get fast relief. Ms Robles suggested that if symptoms persist for two weeks that i should return for treatment. She obviously does not understand the pain of a sinus infection. Just like she doesn't understand the gall to dismiss my PCP's expertise with such an insult as to say they are not treating me correctly.
