My father, Loretta, and I sat down for a three person session, to hopefully iron out the issues we were having. She ended the session after about a half an hour as the meeting devolved into an argument rather than a productive session. It is my strong belief that she is the type of counselor who takes sides. (In this case, she took my dad's side instead of mine, or at least remaining neutral). I felt that I ended up worse off after meeting with her than I was before the session, too. I could quote her, but the rating would get very long. At one point she stated that she did not know what the elephant in the room was. But I do know. The elephant in the room is that the number of quality therapists in this region is lacking. I strongly advise against her, but she was my father's therapist. Of course, he liked her, because she sided with him. He described her to me as a 'no-nonsense' therapist This would have been okay, but he chose the wrong word. She was callous.
