Lorena Williams, NP is one of the best medical professionals I've ever seen. I am not exaggerating when I say that she saved my life.
Lorena assigned bloodwork based on my symptoms (ignored by other doctors), and successfully diagnose me with Hashimoto's Disease. She took the extra time to fully explain the diagnosis, discuss multiple medication options, recommended vitamins, and provided an extraordinary amount of recommendations for the AIP diet.
2 months later:
Reduced pain.
Energy levels are much better.
Depression reduced.
Memory increased.
Chronic cough is gone.
Skin not bruising easily.
Sweating is greatly reduced.
33lbs of weight loss!
For the first time in years, I started to feel like myself again. I've come out of a very dark place and cannot express the level of my gratitude for her support. Lorena Williams, NP saved my life.

I saw her several times between February-October 2020 with the exact same symptoms.
She failed to diagnose me, multiple times with a very common condition. I ended up having Neurosurgery elsewhere and my condition detoriated as a result of waiting for the correct diagnosis.
I had AAI/CCI and spinal cord compression which is a common co-morbidity of Ehlers-Danlos.
I suffered with the same worsening symptoms and misdiagnosises and was told there was nothing wrong during dozens of visits, until I developed complete autonomic dysfunction, became bedridden, and almost died at 35 with a pulse of 40 in the vascular ward of the hospital.
I was finally diagnosed by the head of MUSC Neurosurgery, Dr. Patel who is Ehlers-Danlos knowledgeable. I have now had neurosurgery and will take a year to recover after spinal decompression and being fused from Skull (C0) to C3.
If you have severe vertigo and progressive symptoms that do not resolve, trust yourself.

I found Ms. Torres to be a kind, empathetic, and compassionate provider. By spending a little extra time talking with me, she determined that my current meds were not effective in managing my symptoms and suggested I try a different med. During the appt, I felt like my feelings were finally validated and that it was possible to feel better with a change in medication, plus the implementation of some nutrition and exercise strategies. I would not hesitate to recommend Ms. Torres to my loved ones
