My son visited New Bridge Medical for a Covid test in April 2021. While we received and paid the bill from the hospital, in July 2022 there was a collections letter for Ms. Pradhanang's telemedicine service that showed up in the mail. They told my son that this service was required in order to receive the Covid test. Unlike the explanation of benefit (EOB) we received from the hospital, there was no EOB for Ms. Pradhanang's service from the insurance company. I have tried to call the billing service (Quality Billing Service) and have yet to receive a response. I have also met with numerous billing people at the hospital and tried to contact Ms. Pradhanang to no avail. I must say that the billing folks at New Bridge were very helpful, but, unfortunately, couldn't help me in this matter. It appears to me that this is a fraudulent charge as my son received the same service from the same hospital previously and no bills/collections were received for the accompanying telemedicine service.
