Dr. Leighann Forsyth, PHD

Dr. Forsyth certainly cares, but doesn’t quite have the right tools to reach and help patients. She frequently brings up her own home life and marriage without asking the patient if they are comfortable with those disclosures. My trust in her evaporated when I couldn’t confide in her. She also missed the signs of an emotionally abusive relationship. She also frequently asked to reschedule appointments. I understand that children are unpredictable that way, but I wish there had been an alternative plan in place instead of shuffling patients in their time of need. Perhaps she is a good therapist for someone out there, hopefully a woman of a similar demographic with similar concerns as her. But I really found her ability to empathize was limited to her own life experiences. I would not recommend her to a millennial or younger generation.
