I went to her a couple years ago now. Thought about her when I was talking to my friend today. I used to see her at her geneseo place. I spilled my childhood trauma to her, and she didn't say a word the whole time. After I told her what my father did, she spent 20 minutes of the appointment asking 'why don't you hate him? You should probably hate him? Why don't you hate him? How can you possibly still love him? Why arent you angry' Over and over until the appointment was over. I never called her to make our next appointment. She was one of the worst therapists I've ever had- even worse than the ones that flat out told me 'I don't know how to handle your case or i dont know how to help you'.

Have worked with Ms. Walker off and on for over 23 years on variety of life, health, and family issues. I have always found her to be an attentive, respectful, and ethical therapist, graciously accommodating my hearing and mobility difficulties as well. She is resourceful and creative in finding possible solutions, explanations, and actions for me to consider as she guides me to better mental health rather than directing me to take specific steps in a particular order ... an approach I much prefer and have benefited from immeasurably. The cost varies according to what limits my insurance provides, which change from year to year. Therapy can be painful and embarrassing sometimes, and makes one feel quite vulnerable, but her patience and compassion make it easier to trust her with sensitive personal feelings. She not only listens, she hears between the lines you might say. I appreciate her sense of humor also. I highly recommend her as a therapist / counselor.

If I could give zero stars I would. Now I understand why after thirty years in practice there are no reviews for this woman. Never been to a counselor that could not give me a clue about how much they charge per session. After two appointments she still couldn't tell me. I know what percentage my insurance will cover but it would be nice to know even approximately how much she charges. Unless you will thrive in a counseling relationship with someone who just sits with her face on her fist and makes faces that indicate she either is bothered by being there or just doesn't believe your story I would not recommend her. I sat through two appointments sharing a gut-wrenching story of what had occurred that had devasted me and destroyed everything I had worked for my whole life, including nearly losing my life, and she had absolutely nothing to say. She asked how I wanted to spend my last ten minutes and when I said that I thought she'd have something to say, she said: "Like what"?
