I went to the Appointment in need of help during a very stressful time in my life and I was met with a passive aggressive provider who IMO obviously has no communication skills or empathy. I would seriously think about mandating some additional soft skills training for this person if I was her supervisor. A great example of why AI will replace the PCP in the near future. I switched to an online provider who actually took the time to listen and understand the situation. Who did not interrupt with negative non helpful comments that drove negative feelings and most of all got me the help that I deserve as the patient. Best of all the online provider was only $40.

I have Ehler Danlos Syndrome. This syndrome causes chiari malformations, spinal cord tethering, and cysts on the pineal gland. Ms. Snapp nor most medical professionals do NOT truly understand this disease and they refuse to listen to you when you do understand the disorder. When I called to make my initial visit, I asked if they are willing to learn and help me navigate through this horrible syndrome and they said absolutely. No, they will NOT. If you have Ehler Danlos syndrome, in the Johnson city area, good luck! They do not understand the disorder nor do they understand the mental health issues this can cause. I am the process of obtaining ALL of my care in other states because of the ignorance of this area’s medical care. Ballad is not the only facility that sucks. I need to add, I have been an occupational therapist for over 20 years.
