I was seen in the ER yesterday. I do not have high expectations for an ER because often practitioners forget that bedside manner begins when you walk through the door. Well, Lauren was just awesome. She was proactive rather than reactive. She kept me informed during my visit-which was several hours. She engaged in patient centered care. It was not about the "typical" patient with my issue, but it was about MY ISSUE. She allowed me to process a very sad and unfortunate event that occurred and gave me time to gather myself to ensure I understood my plan of care. I rarely provide reviews, but if our Healthcare system had more Lauren's.. we'd be much better off. Kudos to you Lauren. Keep doing what you do.
