Laurell Conder, NPC

Update: In my previous review I stated that the medical care was great and her expertise is outstanding. The staff is also courteous. However, I did mention that the clinic was rather dirty, and overly seasonally decorated. (Newer comments from 'patients' on this site were very defensive about my comments.) Today I took my father for a follow-up, after a hospital stay. While there I was asked to step into the lab room for a little chat. I was told that Dr. McPherson had sent word that he did not like the negative comments, and it was alluded that I should consider another clinic. I was told that the floors were 70 years old and could not be cleaned. The suspicious powder behind the treatment table was left by the exterminator. When I asked about the dirty lamp I was told it never gets used. In the background I was meant to overhear that only snowman decorations remained. Being 3 months with Laurell Conder, I can say she is an amazing nurse practitioner, she listened to my concerns and addressed every thing. The staff is very friendly and I love the environment. It is sad to see a comment regarding the decorations as it is nice to see a clinic decorated and festive for the holidays, it brings lots of cheerfulness and assures the staff has lots of spirit. I also think the clinic was very clean, it is cleaner than a lot of clinics I go to and have been to, considering it is in the middle of no where. I think the signs the facility has is no issue, as clinics are required to have signs which is no fault of their own. I think Laurell is also not a pill pusher as she listens to your concerns regarding medication and how to help your body in ways that does not require medication. Also, the lab lady was very nice and she got me on the first stick! I will definitely continue coming back! I hope others will see the good of this clinic!

My recent appointment at the Gideon Medical Clinic was excellent. My wait time was hardly at all, and the nurse was very pleasant and nice. The NP Laurell conder listened to my concerns and addressed every issue I was having at the time. She sent me to the lab where they drew my blood, and I had a nice experience with her as well. The lab lady was very nice and didn't hurt me at all. When I went to leave the front desk, worker was very pleasant, and she scheduled my next apt within the month to come back and go over labs and to see how my new meds were working. All those girls there are very nice and friendly. Will be coming back

My first visit with her was wonderful, she practiced active listening and took her time. My second follow up visit left a lot to be desired. She dismissed concerns I had about my lab work by laughing and saying, "well cook with olive oil". I will be finding another provider who will take time to give medically sound advice.

I recommend to anyone that wants a Doctor that is smart but doesn't act like a know it all... Dr. Laurell conder , ACNP ... I recommend Dr. Laurell conder, because she knows everyone's body isn't the same and treats the patients like a person that has their own thoughts and opinions about their health care...
