Avoid like the plague
Comes off extremely cold and condescending. Like a lot of other reviews here she completely dismissed my emotional state and was solely focused on medication. Not a comforting experience in the least

This 'doctor' does not care about making the patient better, instead she loads them up with medicine and when they speak up about the hard time they're having she just prescribes higher dosages. Unfortunately I was one of her patients and was unable to even hold a job because I was so zonked out of my mind. I missed two appointments because I couldn't stay awake for my life and when I had a suicidal crisis and called for help, her receptionist told me she wasn't taking me as a patient anymore because I missed those appointments. Do yourself a favor and avoid her at all costs, your mental health will thank you. This is the exact problem with mental health today, you can't just dope up your patients because you don't want to deal with their problems.

At best, Laura has prevented my depression from getting too much worse. At the worst, she has increased it. She believes in medicine over therapy and will not handle difficult cases--she hands them off, even after years of having the same patients. Her suggestions are not helpful; she does not really listen to her patients, nor does her care feel genuine in the slightest.

I have been seeing Laura for over a year and found it difficult to talk about my medication and dosage with her. I felt like she wasn't listening to my concerns about side effects. Most recently, she dismissed my conversation in such a manner that I will not go back to her. I would not recommend Laura.
