Doesn’t care
My first meeting with Dr Bologh was very strange — it was almost as if I wasn’t actually there. Her recommendations and follow-up made little sense (I even wondered if she mixed me up with another patient at one point). Clearly, she’s not paying attention and that’s a bad quality for a therapist. My second meeting with her was even more bizarre and detached. Wow. Save your money and find someone else who actually cares and pays attention to you.

It’s sad to say that not everyone with a degree in psychology should be practicing. She claims to be trauma-trained and experienced in behavioral disorders on her website, but when I asked about her experience with trauma, she flat out told me she wasn’t a trauma therapist. Confusing, eh? But I saw her a few more times just because she claimed to have other experiences that I thought could be valuable. LOL. Save your time and money — she’s so outside of her league that it is sad, not to mention completely unprofessional, misleading and disrespectful of the healing that trauma survivors are looking for. She did so much more damage and set me back so much — until I found a legitimate therapist who actually is trained to do what he claims to be trained in. Shame on you, “Dr” Bologh!!!

She is kind but will call you on your Bs (works for some). That said, there were a few things that rubbed me the wrong way. She paid more attention to stuff on her iPad/phone than to what I was saying. this was evident my the mere number of times I had to repeat myself because she wasn’t listening originally. When we didn’t meet in person she was clearly calling my while running on the treadmill (she tried to mute but the breathing and treadmill sound were unmistakable). My biggest gripe is she had the potential to treat a disorder when it was in the early stages. A wise person knows what they don’t know and refers to someone who does. I had to take the reins in my own hands and remove myself.

Don’t waste your time and money. She was not professional and not helpful. She was busy with other things during our tele appointment. She did not give any measurable goals that I need to practice. After 2 visits I was more confused about her goals and steps to be be taken. $ 325 per hour .... lot of money wasted??

I have seen Dr. Bologh since I was a teenager. Dr. Bologh has expertly guided me through difficult times. I can’t think of anyone else that I would have wanted to work with during that difficult time.

I have always found Dr. Bologh to be professional and empathetic. She is well versed in CBT. She is always very a-tuned to subtle changes in mood. She takes great care to provide an office atmosphere of warmth and trust.

My son has an anxiety disorder. It was hurting his ability to get along with others and holding him back from pursuing opportunities. Dr. Bologh helped my son to understand his anxiety, become self-aware of the triggers and then to develop mental exercises that would "turn off the bully inside his head" so that he could get on with his life. Over ten months of weekly meetings, my son developed the "muscle memory" to suppress his anxiety in real time. Dr. Bologh had a plan and she executed on that plan with incredible empathy and professionalism. I am writing this review a few years after my son's time with Laura. He is now in college and succeeding beyond my wildest dreams for him. I decided to write this now because Laura's work has passed the test of time and that is the ultimate challenge for a great therapist.
