I had an eye condition that wasn't treated properly, and then charged me $175 for three separate five minute appointments. $124 to walk in the door, and then $50 to take a picture with his iPad. I had asked what the charges were prior to billing, and they didn't let me know.
If you just need a prescription filled, they're okay. Don't allow them to treat you for anything else without full details of what they charge.
