I was 27 minutes late to my first session because I’m too poor to afford cell phone service, and my WiFi was not working. Immediately when I was able to get ahold of Kristin, she was not asking me what happened, or if I was okay. She was just irritated and impatient at me, talking AT me without giving me a chance to explain it apologize. It appeared to me that she was upset and that she had no intention of caring about what the reason was, she just didn’t want it to happen. I expressed why that bothered me- and she got more upset and told me that I need to either stop “attacking” her or call and get a new therapist. I chose to call and get a new therapist. Imagine calling yourself a therapist and not even being able to be polite/courteous about a situation.
