Kayota Tolbert, NP

After rejecting a RX needed for high blood pressure at my pharmacy was the last straw going to her. Not only is this dangerous, but it is reckless and crazy to me withholding a medication like this from a patient with no return call of explanation to the patient. I am looking for a new provider that listens to the patient. I remember when Covid came out and I went to her letting her know how I was feeling, she almost dismissed me, but I had to make her listen to me. I don't recommend having her as your PCP. She will not listen to your concerns or send your RX's to the pharmacy with refills when you need them. I don't even want to give her a star.

My recent visit to Nurse Practitioner Kayota Tolbert's office, where Tony serves as the medical assistant, left me deeply dissatisfied and concerned about the level of care provided. Instead of receiving the attention and professionalism I expected, I encountered negligence and dismissive behavior. During my appointment, both Nurse Practitioner Tolbert and Medical Assistant Tony demonstrated a lack of seriousness towards my health concerns. Their attitude was not only unprofessional but also detrimental to my well-being. Rather than taking the time to address my underlying health issues, they seemed more interested in rushing through the appointment. Not only did they fail to listen to my concerns, but their attitudes were also notably unpleasant. It was clear that their priority was not to provide quality care but rather to move on to the next patient as quickly as possible. This approach not only left me feeling frustrated but also contributed to exacerbating my health problems. Given my experience, I strongly advise against seeking care from Nurse Practitioner Kayota Tolbert and her medical assistant Tony. Patients deserve healthcare providers who prioritize their well-being and demonstrate empathy and professionalism. Unfortunately, my encounter with these individuals fell short of those expectations. I urge others to seek care elsewhere to avoid similar experiences.

My son was having severe medical issues that had been ongoing. He is a patient of Dr. Janise Whitesell’s, and while he was very sick on a day Dr. Whitesell was out, we saw Ms. Tolbert. She was very helpful, knowledgeable, and caring. She got us on the right track with some treatment until his scheduled testing could be completed. I would definitely recommend her to everyone. She is thorough, and she cares about her patients. I appreciate her helping my son on a very bad day.

She took all the time to i need to ask questions, I have no voice box &can't talk need to type it out so it is slow. She has great bedside manner and was very kind I think she is a great FNP. I would recommend her to any one

I saw Kay about 2 months ago. It was my first visit to the practice and going over things with her. While I wasn't allowed back until a little bit after my appt. time, she and her nurse were attentive and reviewed everything I asked about. I warned her up front the type of patient I am (I want to know my options, I want all my concerns to be addressed at the time of appt or a follow up). She and her team have been great! I have only seen her once so I can't attest to urgent appointments.

Horrible dr, doesn't help you at all. Just trys to rush to get you done so she can deal with another patient. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy

She did not have good communication skills. Did not go over medications or tests she was going to order with me. She sent nurse back in who had no idea where to go to get the tests Kay Tolbert ordered.

Kay is absolutely wonderful she really cares about her patients.
