Katie’s son sells $150 probiotics “designed for ADHD” and she somehow convinced me to buy them, even though I don’t have ADHD, saying they would be helpful. They weren’t. She kept me on an antidepressant despite me telling her that it didn’t work and was giving me side effects, then blamed me for it not working. Katie doesn’t seem to know any meds past basic antidepressants, and probably ADHD medications. She is rude, late to appointments, and should have her licence revoked. Within a month of seeing an actual psyciatriast, I was on a medication that controlled my symptoms. Katie had YEARS to get it right and failed.

Katie needs to turn in her Medical liscence because of many reasons, No shows with no call, she told me she was running out of options for me, i ended up in the hospital, because NO CALL BACK, dont expect her to call you, never once has she called me to talk during changes of medicine , The staff is very lost in space somewhere, I wouldn't recommend her , she scolded me because I was switching to walk in appts for counseling also, she pretty much told me she didnt; want to waster her time on me, and discharged me.

Awful and unprofessional in every way. Should not be practicing.

I’m not exaggerating when I say Katie Tawakol went above and beyond to make sure that I had the anxiety and ADHD meds I needed, despite pharmacy shortage issues as well as insurance approval issues. After a full day of meetings with patients, I was the last meeting of her day on a Friday night at 6pm and she spent an hour and a half of time she didn’t need to spend that could have waited until Monday - talking to both my insurance company as well as pharmacist after pharmacist just to make sure that I had what I needed. I’m really grateful for how patient and dedicated Katie is to her patients!

Unprofessional. During our initial session, she came off as extremely judgmental, making facial expressions that were really off-putting while I was telling her about my background. She didn’t seem to be able to keep track of our sessions. During my last session, she asked me “where I disappeared to?” Which was confusing, because I scheduled this session with her. She replied that “no, she wouldn’t schedule that far out.” Okay. The final straw for me was when she went on to say how much more difficult it was, because we only had 15 minutes, but she was late for the session. Wouldn’t recommend.

She is insensitive and rude. She is late to every appointment and constantly rushes. Couldn't even ask her questions without being made to feel dumb. The mental health field DOES NOT need providers like her.

ADD is a disability and needs to be managed by professionals who understand the disability. Katie knows very little is anything about ADD. She pushes Adderall and is not open to learning about new medications to treat the disability. I have been a patient of hers for almost a year and have experienced nothing but frustration with her. I have run out of medications multiple times due to her negligence in sending in refills or never sending in prior authorizations.

She is rude. Surprising considering she works in a trauma counseling practice. Prescribed me medication for depression but forgot to mention the side effects of mixing different types of antidepressants. I started feeling dizzy, headaches, weakness in my arms and hands so I called my pcp. When I told him what medications I was on, he said and I quote “we never combine these medications” “the side effects can be bad and you can’t just stop cold Turkey now” “please let me know what she says To do to get off of them” not even an hour later I spoke with her, she was rude again, and claimed that she knew what she was doing and that my symptoms were “transient” at best, going on to imply that I was experiencing a placebo effect, after I said I would do my meds with my pcp instead, since there is no copayment for him, she wished me a good holiday and hung up. And she never told me how to ween off the medication. She was difficult to talk to from day 1, and now I’m dependent on this Med!

Gross Negligencetrust what the others are saying. All too true and actually alot worse. I have been kept on the phone to their "Call Center" for Hours!!! A joke is an understatement. Why I waited for help that long is beyonde. I clearly was pretty desperate for help. I won't make that mistake again and will be very sure to pass the word on this place, as I already have to many. .ty

seriously awful. my girlfriend had an appointment with Ms. Tawakol for a pre-visit evaluation for possible bipolar depression, and she was in a very vulnerable state and rather upset about the possibility of her diagnosis. Ms. Tawakol was dismissive, critical, rude, and literally made my girlfriend cry. after my gf described her condition, she was told it "didn't add up", and accused my gf of getting this appointment to try and get drugs. my gf left this appointment extremely confused as to why she was treated this way, and she put off seeing another mental health professional for months. well, i am happy to report she finally did see another specialist and she was officially diagnosed with bipolar and got her medication, and is doing much better. i am absolutely appalled at the way she was treated and i would not recommend Ms. Tawakol's services, especially to vulnerable or unstable patients.

Katie has been very respectful and helpful in our case. I would definitely recommend her!
