Dr. Kathleen Munsell, PHD

Kathleen is great! Her services are life changing. She gave me my ADHD diagnosis and used objective testing to ensure the diagnosis was accurate. She assisted me with medication dosing by testing me while on different dosages and briefing which one was most effective. She doesn’t prescribe so she worked alongside my psychiatrist for this. She is now also my therapist and allows me to feel heard and seen with my struggles with ADHD, anxiety, depression.

Not only does she involve her personal life in the sessions, she will fail to properly bill you then send you to collections and her rude assistant will try to say you are CHOOSING not to pay! She is so unprofessional and refuses to accept any responsibility when she messes up!! Save yourself the headache and time and pick a different mental health provider! Kathleen is NOT the choice to go with!! I am so disappointed and so frustrated!!!

Worst experience with Kathleen. Sessions were interrupted by her grandchildren multiple times, very unprofessional!!! The front desk rep also rude and unprofessional. They messed up on my billing and charged me $200 and threaten to send me to collection. Save your money go elsewhere!!! Glad to see I’m not the only one that weren’t through similar issues!!! Save yourself the money, time and headache!

I had similar experiences to other raters: interrupted sessions, too eager to medicate (more income for her), and billing issues. I also was reported to collections although she had insurance info from day 1 and never made any attempts to communicate that 2 services weren’t paid for (because she waited to long to bill the insurance). So instead of being ethical and forgoing the income she chose to send my account to collections (and without even bothering to attempt to call me). As the amount was so low ($200) it leads me to believe she probably didn’t bill many insurance companies on time and got tired her mess of paperwork she created and decided to sell all of them to a collection agency to at least get some income. Harsh accusation I know but it is certainly what it seems. Letting ones own laziness mess up others hard earned credit- shame on you! Horrible ethics!

Dr. Munsell struggled to assess my daughters TOVA test scores and put her on so many medications, it made her struggle even worse. I would not recommend her to my worst enemy.

So grateful to have her as our son's mental health provider. She is very compassionate and is helping him with coping skill development. Due to medical complications he's not a candidate for medication and she was very honest in her recommendation which I appreciate her valuing his health and taking the time to give him the tools to self regulate. She is amazing!

During session we were interrupted 3 times by her son wanting homework help. I refused to see her again and refused to pay the $132.00 she charged, now she has sent me to collections. Beware of going to see her she runs a very disorganized and unprofessional office. And overcharges for services.

I am not going to comment on the services provided by Dr. Munsell. My concern was with billing. During my first appointment, Dr. Munsell took my debit card and told me that fees were automatically billed. I never heard a peep from her regarding billing again. TWO YEARS later, I received a $400.00 bill from collections in the mail (two visits, by the way;the collections agency said it was three, but it WAS two). I would have absolutely paid my bill ASAP if I had been contacted by phone or mail at any point in 2017. I can't imagine that in the whole two years that have passed I would have missed a bill if she had sent one. Totally irritated.

She has been very helpful in my care. Has a creative mind. She has helped with my working environment and the necessary accommodations needed for the job.

The time, attention, and care I have received from Dr Munsell since I met her in 2012 has been life-changing for me. She was the first mental health professional to extensively test and evaluate me in order to give me an accurate diagnosis - no therapist or psychiatrist I'd seen ever went to those lengths. Being diagnosed correctly helped her to help me, and she has helped me tremendously. I have a great deal of respect for Dr Munsell and I highly recommend her.

We love her! She has helped our son so much. We were at a lost when we came to her, after trying so many places and not getting anywhere. She quickly found out what was going on and helped him. She is amazing, very down to earth and genuinely cares. All of these qualities are very rare to find these days, so thankful to have found her!
