I had a long conversation about my anxiety for my 16 week appointment. I let her know I will have a high blood pressure because I get anxious and it will come down after a while. Which is what happened. She started talking about how she can’t rule this out as anxiety & not blood pressure issue & I could be getting preeclampsia, telling me how risky that is after I just spent a lot of time discussing my severe anxiety. She was supposed to get me a referral for a prenatal psychiatrist- never did. Wanted a urine sample- never did. Was going to consult with an OB about my blood pressures-never did. Instead called me the next day asking what my blood pressures were. I took two 128/73 and 123/78 in the normal range. She still insisted there might be a problem and AGAIN brought up preeclampsia and risks while I’m bawling my eyes out. Then recommended I switch to the physician group. If you have anxiety, I wouldn’t recommend seeing her, as you will not be treated with empathy or sensitivity.
