Karol Brown, WHNP

I was referred to Karol Brown by my physician. At first, she was friendly enough to motivate me to open up about all female issues due to menopause. During my initial visit, we talked about me having a hormonal treatment. After selecting the appropriate treatment, the problem arose about how to pay her for it, since it wasn't covered by my insurance. Ms. Brown would only accept cash or a credit card, Since the treatment was very expensive and I don't have a credit card, I had to find another way to pay for it. A charitable organization offered to pay for it, but could only pay by check. I tried several times to contact Ms. Brown to make sure she would accept their check. However she never answered my calls, nor would she call me back. Finally I found another source for about 20% less cost. It's clear to me that Karol Brown was only interested in cash and had no real interest in helping me. Do yourself a favor and avoid this woman and her practice. I can believe that a woman whose really understands what a hormonal imbalance can do to a woman's body doesn't put her hand on her heart to have empathy with other women. No, I don't recommend her!
