Dr. Kari Leavell, PHD

I've seen Kari for several years now, both in-office and via tele-health, and can honestly say I lucked out in connecting with her right away on my therapy journey. It's so important to find a therapist who 'gets' you, and I have always felt that way about Kari. She is a compassionate listener, who validates your feelings. However, she also takes time to help present another perspective. This comes in especially handy when you are perhaps struggling to see matters from all angles, which I have struggled with quite a lot. I look forward to our visits both when I'm happy--because I get to share my victories--and when I'm upset--because I know she'll help me process things.She also has an excellent sense of humor, displayed most often when laughing at my clearly well-crafted and delivered jokes. Seriously though:I wish everyone had a Kari (and not just because she laughs at my jokes). She's been a huge blessing to me, and I wish I could gift a 'Kari' to everyone I love.
