Shamed for decisions
She is not polyamorous affirming- encouraged me to divorce my spouse because I was struggling with transitions in our relationship. When I told her I wanted to learn tools for coping when I am triggered, I was shamed for wanting to stay with my spouse. She told me it would be “harm reduction” to leave him. I have never gone non verbal during a therapy appointment in nearly 18 years of therapy, nor have I ever shut down during a session. I felt judged, unheard, and angry. I stopped seeing her after that session. She also struggles to support queer or transgender clients. I would not recommend her.
