Julie O'Brien, LMHC

Dr. O'Brien is brilliant. Extremely insightful, experienced and the perfect fit for me. She is constantly giving me perspectives that had not occurred to me that lead me to a lot of breakthrough thinking. I only wish I had found her earlier. She is making a profound difference in my llfe.

Dr. O'Brien is a wonderful therapist! She stuck with me during the most difficult time of my life and kept my head in the game. Without her help I might have just thrown in the towel long ago. She can be serious, and she can make you laugh, and has a way of getting you to look at things that is unmatched. She is also very up to date on new medications and procedures . I highly recommend her!

Julie has been my therapist for several years,she has truly exceeded my expectations in helping me overcome myissues. I have continued to stay in therapy and learn to be a better daughter,friend,employee,and woman overall. I also have been introduc to EMDR and it has also been a asset in my life.

I have been seeing Dr. O'Brien for over 10 years. I have seen several councilors over the years and she has been the most helpful. We have investigated both my early life trauma and my present day issues and how the two intersect. Through working with Julie, my depression and anxiety has been greatly reduced and now manifests itself much healthier ways. I read the other review and that doesn't sound at all like the Julie I work with! I find her trustworthy and would recommend her highly.

Dr. O'Brien has a disempowering attitude towards survivors of trauma. She convinced me to not report or pursue any justice against a school teacher who physically assaulted me resulting in serious injuries. She’s very judgmental/ not a good listener: she couldn’t remember my history or what we discussed in the previous session. She's not trustworthy. She gave me advice that escalated an abusive situation. She told me I had PTSD and then later denied it to a medical professional and insurance.
