I came in for an emergency appointment. I have very good reasons (stress, sun exposure, diet, previous experience) to believe that I have herpes keratitis, my symptoms are also textbook herpes keratitis. The doctor ignored my suggestions and family history of herpes keratitis (mother and brother have both had it). Because she didn't know the cause, she said we will "treat the symptoms" and prescribed Prednisolone eyedrops. She didn't tell me that these eyedrops promote herpes growth.
