Dr. Joyce Maclaren, PSY.D

Her calm demeanor, listening skills, and spiritual counseling. I was in a really Dark place mentally Years ago when I first started Session with Dr. Maclaren, but Her professional counseling and Spiritual Therapy has helped me control my anxieties and anger emotions over the Years. I Highly recommend Dr. Maclaren for any Individuals who may be experiencing mental distress in their Lives.

Awesome kind , patient sympathetic

I was really disappointed. I thought i would like her because she's a woman and I thought I would like her vibe. Her feedback to me felt judgemental. She seems a little out of touch. She's honest, which is great, but it comes out in a slightly hostile way. I'm a Christian and she asked me my beliefs on death. When I told her, she told me I was wrong and cited a verse from the Bible to prove her point. I told her that I can also get a verse that proves my belief and I told her that not every Christian denomination has the same views on things. They can each have a different belief and each of them can get a verse from the Bible that proves their point. I shouldn’t have to tell her that. Every time she had a judgemental thing to say, I had to counter her and whenever I did, she seemed appalled. I will not feel stupid or bad about myself in therapy. There were other things that happened that I don't want to get into. I did learn some breathing techniques.

She was awesome

My experience was a horrible one. This therapist took it upon herself to overstep her boundaries and allowed her bigotry to overtake her professionalism. I do NOT recommend her, as she cannot be trusted. She will betray your confidence and will not respect boundaries.

Dr. Joyce is nice and professional but after almost 2 years with her we still haven't addressed the issue at hand. I wouldn't recommend her for anyone dealing with serious trauma. I feel like I've wasted time, money as well as trying to heal.

This woman is a liar she tell the patient one thing then recommend on paper something totally different. She was not concern about me but more concern about my medical coverage so she could get paid. She feels she knows what's best for me after seeing me once. And she has caused me more emotional pain and physical SUFFERING, than before I saw her. No I would not recommend her to family or friends.

This practice is corrupt. They told me the wrong date for my appt, and then charged me $75 fee for missing my "appointment". How can you charge a new patient, that has never seen , for an office error? I'm glad I didn't see this doctor if this is how her practice is operated.
