Joy is absolutely wonderful. As someone who has struggled psychologically for the vast majority of my life, she has certainly helped get me on a better path for a happier life. I genuinely feel that I am being listened to when we do a review together on medications, how I am feeling, etc. I have been visiting with Joy for about two years now. I have had horrendous past experiences with others in this area of expertise, and I can say that because of those experiences, I refused psychological intervention for many years. After meeting with Joy, we did discuss that topic thoroughly, and she did empathize and understand where I was coming from. I've never experienced someone showing such compassion and authenticity in this field. I think if you're searching for someone to intervene, this could be the right person for you.

Joy is very observant and truly listens to what your primary concerns are. Her assessments are thorough and comprehensive. She listens to how medications are working (or not working), what side effects you may be experiencing, and then alters medications as needed. I am used to doctors telling me that side effects are normal and to give it more time. She prefers to look at other options when meds are making you sick. I am truly impressed with her knowledge and empathy. I'm glad I decided to finally explore medications as a tool for treating my mental health versus continuing to "suck it up".

Best mental health provider I have ever met. She took her time to listen and explained everything in detail. In addition, she is caring, respectful, committed, responsive, knowledgeable and very in-tune her patients. I highly recommend her.
