I unequivocally credit Jovanna with saving my life. After a trip to the SMH Urgent Care and then to the SMH ER with shortness of breath, I was released with "your labs are perfect and we see no reason to go forward with more testing" To the doc in Urgent Care, he did suspect a pulmonary embolism and he was the one who told me to go to the ER but once there, I was released. Jovanna was the one who realized I really had a problem and ordered an immediate CT scan which revealed blood clots in both lungs! This wasn't the first time either. She is excellent and gets to the bottom of the problem very quickly. I can not recommend her more highly. She is an incredible asset to the Intercoastal Cardiology team.
