The ONLY Dr. in the hospital to ID the problem
I was hospitalized after a bout with something I'd never experienced. After a bank of tests pretty much all the other Dr's & specialists focused on acute pancreatitis Dr Martinez eliminated that as a primary cause, and focused in on potential diverticulitis of the duodenum, which is (very?) rare, also discounted 'other advised' tests in lieu of an endoscope which due to inflammation of both the duodenum AND pancreatitis he deemed risky, not prudent and possible dangerously harmful. Recommended the procedure after the inflammation subsided, which I fully intend to do. He was very patient and took a lot of time to listen as well as explain, visited me twice in my 2 day stay even very early in the AM before his 1st procedure. Dr. Martinez not only cares but knows what he's doing. I'm no kid, and have seen me plenty of Dr's, he stands out. I hope you never need a GI dr, but if you do, ask for him.Sincere thanks Dr. Martinez, two thumbs up!

NOT SURE HOW TO RATE THIS
I was scheduled to have out patient surgery Friday, Nov 17, 2023 at Memorial Pembroke Hospital. I contacted this office Tuesday, Nov 14 and confirmed my surgery. I requested a copy of the information forms I had received when I was at my last appointment. I did not receive them, as I was advised that the hospital would call me prior to the procedure date with info. I never heard from the hospital and called the doctor office and hospital on Thursday. No response from my doctor office (i LEFT A VOICE MAIL @ 4.00pm) and the hospital advised I DID NOT HAVE A SCHEDULED SURGERY! i contacted the doctors office again Friday. Left another voice mail...NO RESPONSE. I DID NOT HAVE THE PROCEDURE DONE AND AM STILL WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM DR. GONZALEZ MARTINEZ'S OFFICE. The reason for the 3 star rating is because I do not know exactly who to blame, but I believe it's his incompetent staff! They obviously dropped the ball. i AM LOOKING FOR A NEW GASTROENTEROLOGIST
