Dr. John Grbac, PSY.D

Avoid this doctor at all costs!! Manipulative, egotistical, does not listen to clients, charges insane amounts, I could go on and on.

This is one review that pains me to write. There is so much emotional pain that is directed at dealing with Dr. Grbac. He was to be the therapist to help me and my son regarding a reunification case. First and foremost I'm well aware that a therapist is there to be paid for their work. I paid Mr. Grbac for the work he performed on the case. I saw this man three different times w/ regards to reunification work. **After he saw me and my son together, he informed me he was very sorry for how terrible the mom was and her manipulation to our son.** I asked Mr. Grbac shortly there after to write up a status report to the court to state the very same....he outright refused. When the mother was supposed to come in during her slotted time, she refused to show up on time and came 'conveniently ' the following hour; naturally Mr. Grbac felt compelled to charge me the hour for the mom's missed hour to my bill. We found Dr. Grbac to be very professional, compassionate and understanding in the treatment of our child. He actually cares about the well being of the child and provided the much needed support our child required. We would recommend Dr. Grbac for treatment of your child.

If you’re looking for a sarcastic, egotistical therapist you have found a perfect match. Don’t share anything about your faith because he’ll quickly and openly demean any Christian based counselors. His ego is boosted by his 20 something year old interns running his front office in the most unprofessional of manners. Stay away at all costs. You’ll leave feeling worse than when you came...and your bank account will be empty.

The whole system with the court and parental coordination is a scam. Dr. Grbac charges insane amounts and won’t allow payment plans. Then he takes single moms to court to pay 1,000+ over due bills ALONG with charging court costs.... even though it was asked multiple times if balance could pay monthly.... “we don’t have payment plans”.

Dr. Grbac does not know how to help kids who have suffered domestic violence. In fact, he made our situation worse. I won full custody despite this and the kids received better counseling from Help Now (which was free) than they did from him. They did not like going to his office and said they felt he was biased against their convictions to their Christian faith. He caused more harm than good and I regret taking them to see him. He did not communicate their needs with me well at all.
