Dr. John Cordia falls far short of the compassionate care one expects from a therapist or psychiatrist. Instead of prioritizing patients' well-being, he subjects them to burdensome paperwork, causing unnecessary interruptions in treatment. When I relocated and sought a new doctor, his insistence on exhaustive documentation led to a distressing lapse in medication. For those grappling with conditions that hinder paperwork completion, his approach is particularly detrimental. Seek out a practitioner who values empathy, actively listens, and navigates treatment challenges with understanding and support during trying times. Furthermore, Dr. Cordia's disregard for his patients' time is unacceptable. Arriving more than 10 minutes late for our virtual session, he demonstrated a lack of respect that further underscored his prioritization of bureaucracy over patient care.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Telehealth
This provider gives everyone the same medication. He will not listen or your concerns. He self-schedules 30 mins before the appt and is till 15 min+ late. He is just money hungry. Go elsewhere!

Only cares about money
I have a card on file I wanted to change before our next meeting card was valid but I told them to not charge on it due to me having an HSA card now, the doctor calls me 30 minutes before my appointment and says if you don't update that we have to cancel. So I proceed to call home for the next hour trying to figure out how to update leaving him voicemails and text pleading with him not to cancel the card should be valid he just ignored all my calls and text and did not show up to my appointment at all. If he really cares about mental health then why would he just not answer at all and cancel sounds like its Money> Practice for him I do not recommend this doctor to anyone

The process of scheduling my initial appointment was smooth and pleasant, the individual was not friendly but efficient. When it was time for the appointment not only did they not make arrangements for my virtual visit but they also informed me that although they said my insurance was covered they now weren’t sure, I cancelled my appointment and I emailed my information as discussed so we can reschedule if it was accepted. Received no response after that email. Emailed a couple of days later for confirmation and received no response, called their office accidentally and was met with annoyance “what’s going on you call and email on the same day” is how the call was answered. I emailed again over a week later and no response. At this point I have already confirmed with my insurance that his care is covered and just wanted to schedule an appointment, no response. I’m no longer seeking treatment by him, his unprofessionalism speaks volumes and his disregard for patients is disgusting.

I can not say enough good about Dr Cordia. He changed my life. After struggling for 38 years in all facets of my life and seeing multiple psychiatrists with lackluster results to say the least, Dr Cordia nailed it the first time. Ive since succeeded in my career, love life, family life etc. He is extraordinarily brilliant his craft. He is friendly, down to earth, and easy to talk to. I can not recommend him enough!

I have been with Dr Cordia for over 6 months now. He has been truly a god send. I recently had an episode at work and he took over an hour on my telemedicine appointment getting to the bottom of what I went through. He may be the best psychiatrist I have ever been to! And I say this as a medical professional who’s been through atleast half a dozen psychiatrists! Don’t let the fact that he’s a Nurse practitioner stop you from using him as your psychiatrist. Truly I hope to keep him as long as possible.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I originally scheduled my first appointment with a different doctor in this office and have been stuck with this man since. I work in pharmacy and can tell you he’s just guessing when it comes to prescribing meds. If I wasn’t smart enough to know what drugs not to combine I’d already be in the hospital or worse. Not to mention he doesn’t actually listen when you speak and just throws around cliches as solutions. The office staff are rude And incompetent and they can never seem to adequately schedule and you end up waiting HOURS to be seen and they somehow have the nerve to blame you. After a year I’m completely fed up and finding someone else. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I initially called the practice that Dr. Cordia works with for an appointment with another doctor but was scheduled with Dr. Cordia due to my scheduling conflicts. I arrived fifteen minutes early to my appointment to accommodate any paperwork that needed to be done since I was a new patient but I ended up waiting for roughly two and a half hours to be seen. I was only seen because I could no longer stay for the appointment due to prior obligations. The receptionist informed me that Dr. Cordia had no other patients this day and that I should’ve been seen by now. When the doctor finally appeared, I told him I could not stay after waiting for so long and that I would rather just leave. Instead of apologizing or explaining himself, Dr. Cordia accused me of being late to my appointment. I left shortly thereafter. I was very disappointed with his demeanor and lack of professionalism. We are patients seeking psychiatric care; we should not be subjected to these stresses. Go elsewhere.
