Finding a therapist that you get along with and that you can trust with your secrets is difficult. Finding a therapist that helps you find a way to talk about difficult things is a game-changer. Sometimes you have to go through a few to find the right fit. I’ve been through quite a few, but the reason I’ve stuck with Dr. John Arrington for over five years now is because he’s patient while I figure out what makes me comfortable with sharing things. I don’t feel intimidated or like he’s peering directly into my soul and he doesn’t make me feel like I’m weird or abnormal. He helps me feel empowered to making meaningful changes and take control over my own mental health. The office staff are friendly and easy to work with when it comes to copays and insurance. I highly recommend giving them a try in your journey for the right therapist.

He is a phenomenal listener, as well as balancing being supportive, being on top of the latest research, and giving you the push you need to examine yourself. I refer clients to him several times a year.

I have recommended him to anyone who needs marriage/family/one-on-one counseling. He's also great with anger management counseling. Really good listener who gets really good feedback. That's the sentence I would use to describe John Arrington. When you're there he's all yours he's not distracted. Easy to talk to and takes it at your pace.
