I was feeling depressed over many different issues that occured throughout my life and was pressured by my daughters to reach out to a therapist to help me navigate through this difficult time. Jodie was recommended by my Primary Care and I took the leap to set up an appointment. The appointment process was very easy and I discovered I could not use this as an excuse to not attend my first session. I was very anxious as I am not the type of person to open up and discuss my personal issues with anyone. My first session was relaxing and I found Jodie was amazing and I was able to just open up and discuss the issues I was dealing with. Jodie listened to my story and was very understanding and I felt safe to speak without fear of judgement. During our sessions Jodie recommended utilizing the EMDR technique to help with each dramatic experience and I can say this is an amazing process that actually helps me cope. If you come across this looking for someone to at least talk to and possibly even take that bold step forward I am here to say Jodie is the person I would recommend to help walk this journey with you. I trust Jodie to help me each step of my journey and would encourage anyone to at least take the first step as it is amazing to physically feel the difference when remembering the trauma that we have worked on so far. I will continue to utilize Jodie's expertise to help me improve minute by minute. Going into this I understood this will be a long journey and I am truly relieved that Jodie will help guide me through this.
