I was “approved” for bilateral cochlear implants & lost good, NORMAL, low-to-tones only residual hearing. I lost all quality of life in hearing music & everyday fluctuating tones in voices & sounds in general to daily gurgly, underwater, & bad hearing 24/7. My grandchildren sound like distorted little men. NEVER trust Joanie’s recommendation for bilateral cochlear implants without more time adjusting to 1st implant, especially if there are improvements, without trying other options first. Bilateral CIs must be the LAST resort if nothing else works. I went bilateral too soon & it was a death sentence for life for me with this permanent awful hearing, vertigo & balance issues that I never had before, & very loud tinnitus if I remove my exterior cochlear pieces.

Dr. Davis is the most caring and understanding Doctor i have ever Known, she takes all time you need to explain everything, She and her staff are so compassionate and caring its almost beyond belief, I came down to Fla. from Mich. and Through A whole bunch of circumstances was introduced to Dr. Davis and it was life changiing

Exceptional doctor and staff! Always so helpful and they really care about their patients. I wouldn't take my parents anywhere else!
